Firstly, let me share something… I love my grandma! Not only for the best crumpets ever made or always believing in me no matter what. Also because of sharing ideas and recipes for the tried and tested beauty treatments that top numerous advanced, readymade products. Her anti-acne aspirin face mask is second to none whereas grandma-inspired linseed and gelatin hair treatments are the best repairing, beautifying and shine-boosting elixirs I’ve ever used.
After finding my hair strands all over the house, my grandma recommended trying castor oil. My hair really gets worse in the wintertime. To make things worse, my brows looked bad too, plus they didn’t grow back after overtweezing fail… They were too skinny and I needed to fill them in every single day which was quite irritating.
“Buy castor oil, it’s the best for making hair, lashes and brows grow”, grandma said. And that’s what I did. If she recommends something, it must be good. I found the best castor oil online – pure, natural, organic certified. It was pricier than a chemist version of castor oil for treating digestive problems but I wanted to get a top product, plus the one having a bigger size. To me Nanoil is the only right choice.

How I used Nanoil Castor Oil?
1. Castor oil for hair
As you might be guessing, I tried to stick to my grandma’s instructions, namely, I applied the oil after a hair wash: both to hair and scalp to let it reach hair follicles. Next, I put a shower cap on oil-covered hair, followed with a towel and warmed the turban with a dryer so that oil’s particles could work better, penetrating the skin. After approx. 20 mins I took off the cap and towel, and applied a conditioner for a moment to emulsify the oil for easier rinse-out. At last, I shampooed the hair.
What was the effect after a blow-out? Impossible to describe. Breathtaking, flawless, ultra smooth, moisturized, soft hair, plus clean scalp!
How long did it take to notice reduced hair loss?
More or less 5 weeks, doing the hair oil treatment once a week. Probably I would have noticed the result faster if I’d used it more often but I was too busy (too bad).
2. Castor oil for eyebrows
This might be the fastest beauty treatment you’ve ever come across. I simply measured out a drop of castor oil and rubbed it into brow hair with a few simple motions, went to sleep and that was it (of course nighttime routine is best to avoid greasy eyebrow look during the day).
How long does it take castor oil to noticeably enhance eyebrows?
I had to wait pretty long for the gaps to be filled in with new hairs, around 6 weeks. It was worth waiting, though. I went to a salon with my brand new, dark, shiny brows to have them shaped by a pro. I didn’t feel like experimenting, afraid of overplucking them again…
3. Castor oil for lashes
Nope, I didn’t try it on my eyelashes because I prefer a lash serum. I think my butter fingers would make castor oil land inside my eyes instead of lashes. That is why I gave up on it though my grandma says castor is great for lashes too. If you’ve ever tried it on lashes for strengthening, please let me know about the results in comments 🙂
4. Castor oil for face care
I also stumbled upon an article saying castor oil is an amazing face cleanser. All we need is OCM blend – we can easy create it by mixing a couple of natural oils. Castor oil is the base oil in this mixture. I also bought my favorite argan oil and almond oil on Nanoil site, and made my own oil cleansing blend!
Nanoil Castor Oil, my thoughts and opinion
I have no idea how I managed without it so long. I use Nanoil as often as I can since it’s one of the best all-purpose products I’ve had so far. Perfect!
Price of Nanoil Castor Oil
Nanoil isn’t the cheapest castor oil on the market but we get a bigger size than other available oils have, plus its quality is priceless. I recommend it mostly for face cleansing blends and hair and brow repair. If you know Nanoil Castor Oil, share your ways of using it. I’ve heard it’s a saver for nails too. Have you tried Nanoil?
