Together, they make a blend for special tasks: they stimulate cell turnover, relieve irritations and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. There is one issue that I need to draw your attention to: you always need to follow La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C serum with a cream with SPF.

4. Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum
Some time ago Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum was my favorite gel serum. Behind its extraordinarily intriguing name, there is a face serum rich in plant extracts, thus saturated with vitamins and minerals. The key constituent is vitamin C, and this is why Klairs serum is so good at erasing discoloration, brightening the skin and rejuvenating it. Other ingredients such as lotus, peony, anise, grapefruit, bayaline, tea, golden and rhubarb extracts deliver a slightly different effect, but together they create a nourishing bomb for all skin types, except sensitive skin. I’m not sure whether so many ingredients are beneficial for hyper-reactive complexions, therefore I recommend running a patch test before ordering the serum.

5. Olehenriksen Truth Serum
For last I left the most expensive vitamin C face serum for those who don’t mind spending a little more to have a high-end cosmetic. The Olehenriksen face serum has untypical texture, which is thicker than other face serums that I’ve used. It also has a characteristic orange color. Skin absorbs it fully, so you don’t have to bother about greasy or sticky coating on the face. I’m not sure if I didn’t run out of this product faster than of other serums. Nevertheless, I think this is one of the best brightening serums out there. It minimizes the appearance of pigmentation spots and delays wrinkles. Olehenriksen Truth Serum also has collagen for supple skin. Orange extract and hyaluronic acid promote hydration and leave you with the pleasant sensation of fresh skin.
