HOW TO BOOST HAIR VOLUME?

The first essential thing is proper hair care – after all healthy, thick, strong hair has the biggest volume.

However if you don’t want to wait until your hair is repaired, you can improve its appearance right away. All you need is easy tricks for bigger hair volume. Firstly, get must-have accessories ready.

These products and tools are essential for intensifying hair volume:

  • a blow-dryer.
  • a round brush.
  • big hair rollers.
  • volumizing mousse.
  • setting and volume-boosting spray.
  • hair powder or dry shampoo.

Of course not every method for hair volume boost needs all of the accessories but having them all is worth it. You never know what works better when your hair loses volume and you want to add some definition.

MY REMEDIES FOR LOST HAIR VOLUME

The time has come for you to unravel my top five tried and tested methods I swear by and recommend to every girl whose hair looks limp, weighed down and lifeless.

Remedy 1: Fewer products!

There’s a common mistake made by those suffering from lost hair volume. Namely, they overuse styling products hoping for a magical volume boost. The truth is that the excess of products weighs down hair and takes away its natural volume. Less hair oil, less serum, less mousse – that’s the secret to increased volume.

Remedy 2: Round brush (or rollers)!

Another effective way of adding volume to tresses involves blow-drying with a round brush. This simple tool lets you achieve a lot: you lift the roots, boosting volume that your hair usually lacks. You should surely test the trick but I must warn you: the beginnings are tricky… Several days will pass before you get the hang of using the big brush and coordinating the moves. It took me around six washes to master the trick.

Remedy 3: Hair mousse!

A hair mousse couldn’t be missing in this post. A sure pick of everybody suffering because of lost hair volume. The size of walnut is enough – scrunch it into the hair, giving the desired shape, defining curl and – the priority – increasing volume. The key thing is you don’t use too much product.

Remedy 4: Dry shampoo!

I guess I’ve already revealed this trick in other post. Yes, you can add volume to hair using a dry shampoo. It can be a regular dry shampoo, hair powder or DIY potato flour and cocoa version. Putting the product in the roots aids in getting rid of sebum excess and slightly intensifying hair thickness. As a result, hair volume is boosted.

Remedy 5: Hair part switch!

Lastly, a real jewel! The fastest way of getting voluminous hair and you can use it even when there’s no product around. Just flip the hair part to the other side – this way you raise the roots and add bounce.

I’d love you to share your favorite tricks for increasing hair volume. Be my inspiration! 🙂
